STV is sold - my skin needed to get itchy - so I ditched the training wheels and got something that I am truly really excited about. Snagged this 22 velocity and thanks to Mr. Keeling, it made its way back from the Sunshine state. The plan was to always rebuild the boat, but I was hoping to be able to use it this season and rebuild it over the winter - but it appears it has become a now project rather than a future project.

This thing is going to be a total overhaul and I have really big plans for this. Finally got to get it started today and have put a pretty good dent in the teardown. Because its still winter (ish) hopefully some pics will help bring spring in a little bit quicker.

It's funny when you meet someone for the first time and when you tell them where you live they respond....oh is that the place with all the boats I actually had a guy stop in the fall and ask who to speak to to get his boat overhauled

As with anything that comes out of that shop......Cant wait to follow along Mike.

lmao Dok - It usually starts off as, "Well I wonder what needs to be done", and then it turns into "well If I'm doing it I might as well do it all and do it right.....fires up sawzall". Picked up a new tool for cutting this one apart and can't believe I never had one before. Seems like with each build we get a little better and a little smarter.

But I don't know if I even want to know what happened in that love den. For what its worth the love den is not staying lol. TBH I was really hoping there would be some "good stuff" under the floor boards seeing as it came from Florida that could have funded the build, but I was a little disappointed.

I'm positive either Hustler/Skank's Miss April '88 photo spread was across that Velocity shag along with Miami Vice's Crockett & Tubbs look alike's poking around that living room. Hmm, in the interests of research I'll revisit my '77-'89 collection cataloged in the boathouse.
