Hey all, I'm looking for a good all round performance prop for my little guys voodoo. I was going to run the stock prop at first but it's pretty beat up.

Let me know what you've got . Stock prop is 9 7/8 x 12 -1 and is 10 spline.

Thank you in advance

I am guessing you have the 30 hp 3 cylinder two stroke.
GREAT MOTOR!
If it is a long shaft you may have a problem mounting on the 24 inch transom.....too high for the stock props.
The aluminum stock props go up to 14 pitch...... the boat will run low to mid 40's
Difference between the 12 and 14 pitch is acceleration.....very slow with a 14.
These motors can turn over 6000 so in the end there is not much difference top speed wise with the bigger pitch...the motor just turns more rpm with the smaller pitch.
I paid less than $80.00 Canadian on ebay for the aluminum props......stainless is WAY more costly....$200 to $450.
I would run the set back you got with the boat.

LISTEN TO THIS 30 hp Yamaha run on a tunnel!!

Great advice thank you! We are running the set back and can actually lower the motor a touch.
So would you say a stock replacement 12 pitch would be the best option?
Wow that thing is bad ass, thank you for sharing.

For starters I would get a 14 like this one:
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Aluminum-Outboa ... b-&vxp=mtr
There is NOT a lot of demand for a 14 so I would offer less when you bid.
You could run a chopper stainless 10 1/2 x 16 to 18 pitch and with a jacked motor and run 45 mph.
The gear case on the 30 is excellent and you don't need to run super high.
The 14 should run 40 ish even with the motor at 22 to 23 inch transom height.
Look for an 80's single ram 40-50hp yamaha power trim bracket assembly.....it bolts right on the 30 hp and works great.
You can find them in Ontario for $300.00!......Pro 50 Yamaha trim also works.
