Go to Princess Auto. Get a 5" buffing wheel and some WHITE and red wax. Super cheap. $5.99 for the wheel and $2.99-3.29 for the wax. Use a sisal wheel to take out any deep gouges. Watch out for the corners and edges of the aluminum. It can tear up the wheel. I polished my Powerlift Manual plate. Looks mint.
WEAR A MASK, GLOVES, and GOGGLES. You'll end up looking like a coal miner and you don't want to inhale the aluminum and the fluff from the wheel. I polished my sled tunnel this way too. Looks awesome.
