BTW, i sat on ebay for the night a couple nights ago, and won a lot of 6 service manuals for 22 bucks, original merc manuals one with this engine in it, which will be helpfull!

I've got your manual right here...it says loosen 4 mounting bolts and push off transom..paddle home (or hitch hike...your choice)...

no the manuals i got were for smaller engines and a inboard 3.0 liter.
