So just rigged, 15 minutes of setup, first time out you're running 102 plus?? That's awesome, I've heard those hulls are incredible. How did it handle? Hard to believe there's no go pro footage.... Lol

it would seem that would be the case. i need to drill LWP in this HPDI case because in going to have my 34 worked so its a little steeper because the motor can go up and im right on the limiter now.

Boat handles amazing. it has a step in the pad and when it down on the water it corners like a slot car and when you trim out you can power slide the corner hard... turns out thats alot of fun.
the boat accelerates REAL hard with the 34 cleaver on.. very surprising. it takes some steering input at high speeds but not alot the trim is quite sensitive at every speed.. i assume because the motor is 536 lbs.

I didn't run the 26.. Dave did but he would hit the limiter at 102 and couldn't stay with me. I ran a 34 cleaver.

Nice, might as well start with the big wheel!

It runs like a good handling v-bottom.... Welcome to the world of skegs and prop shafts though with your cornering fun and wild engine heights with BIG props. That thing should run big numbers when you are done.. And I'm rooting for ya.

it should handle even better once you get that 12" mid ;) , im interested in that step, the valero needs some hull mods,,

thanks Mitchie.

AND i forgot to mention the HPDI motor on a small boat is REALLY good on fuel.. i only burnt 25 litres where running the challenger would have been 120 Litres.

The Venom looks good with the Yamaha. Would be cool if you could find a short mid for it.
Can't wait to see it run.
