Suppose to be 4 people signing up now... 2 spots left. Don't delay if this interests you.

We have a couple 9 year olds and a couple adults.

Update(3/4/2013):
TORC currently has following registrants(paid):

- JSH: (2) 9 yr olds
- ASH: (2) 15 yr olds
- 20SSH: (1) Adult

We have other kids/adults inquiring, room for max 8.

Knowing how to race hydro, read the water, read the corner, cutting inside/outside your opponent, timing the clock, when to enter the chute, is great experience for other categories....
Look what Hydro racing did for Top Gun in T for 2012, Zero to Hero.
I'm good for $20, start a collection to get Gig into JSH, back to basics program and on top.
Who's in?

Update... we have 6 paid up students and the club decided to bump it to 8 people and those spots have been verbally filed. School is full!

This is amazing I think.

We'll have a wide range of ages. 9 through 50 or so. My feeling is 75% of the students are quite serious about racing if they enjoy the school/rides.

Hi all,

TORC is hosting its first Driver School at the Waterford race on Friday May 31, with racing on the June 1-2.
http://www.torc.ca/racing-school.html

We had no idea what the reaction to the school would be, but it's been great. We welcomed 6 people, with a goal of 4 people. Well we have 8 people signed and a waiting list with ages from 9 to 50. Racers are lending their own race equipment to the school. It's more people than I wanted for our first run at this, but what ya gunna do... these people want to learn to race.

We've got the safety equipment covered for everyone but the two smallest students... each 9 years old, about 60 pounds.

Does anyone have small suits and/or jackets (lifeline style) they could lend us for the Friday? We have no J drivers in our club, so no one to borrow from. Even if they are not APBA current, or wrong colours (would not be used in a race). Or something they could send with someone else if you are not going? The kids will be on the water at 2pm Friday. Pants we might be able to fold up and duct tape, but hard to do with sleeves.

Or alternatively, does anyone have something their kid has out grown that they would be interested in donating or selling?

Thanks,
Andrew
