I am never surprised when you see just how nice many of these old mercury motors run.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe this model or one similar is 60 cubic inch and with a quickie lower unit held the world speed record for a outboard at just over 100 mph.
Wonder how fast it would run on a TBoat?

I remember the U2 at the Toronto Boat Show. Claimed amazing speed. My cottage neighborhood purchased one...he ran an 800 mercury. Didn’t run super fast but was interesting to watch.
