I remember speaking with a group of Honda Civic car enthusiasts. They were all in modifying their Honda 4 cylinder car engines. They had some terrific looking motors with turbochargers and computer systems. Big horsepower from small motors. They said they just drag raced on the street. The police were cracking down on them, pulling the over because of exhaust noise and then subjecting the car to a pollution test which they would fail and the cars would be impounded.
I thought wouldn’t this group be candidates for a new Honda inboard or inboard/outboard class.
Unfortunately none of them had ever seen a boat racing event. We currently do have inboard hydro classes, but nothing that matches what these boys would be interested in.
