I didn’t know this video existed....Rob Wood was one of the best known Canadian F1 drivers. He was an OMC factory driver and was one of the few Canadians to race the OMC V8 FI tunnels. I was at this race. It was an unusual day for wind direction and the effect that bridge had on the tunnels. Even our Sports C tunnel would lift running under that bridge. The F1 boats couldn’t trim out as much for fear of blowing over backwards. The boats couldn’t get much separation and the “U” turns at the end of the straightaways were challenging and dangerous. I don’t recall ever going back to race at that location.
