What's interesting about the 60DE picture Matt is that the picture is that of a long shaft model. I have never seen a long shaft. The ones we see on the internet are all 60DES.........electric short.

I would love to get a hold of one for these 60DES blocks to see the differences and find out why they were so good in racing.
Reading this other post from you on 60DES motors it is even more interesting that the 60DES motor built in the early 1980's. in 1986 it was racing the very strong OMC twins and was beating them!

http://www.boatracingfacts.com/forums/s ... ecord-1986

1986 Close to 80 mph on a S750 tunnel......that's with a shift-able gear case not a speedmaster.
Bet the OMC S750 boats running in Gravenhurst and Peterborough are not seeing that kind of performance.

IF?? we can get one of those 60DES blocks, we can get sleeves made, build a few powerheads and hopefully have you and maybe DOC can get Jesse out of that number one spot in T750.
