a v8 build at any level is very expensive. I'm am at the lowest level of the build. and it is obscene to say the least. I am very lucky to have the right people behind me. a v8 is the only omc that came from the oem with a tuner like a merc and is very important to make the build, . if you don't get it right your fucked. so . custom machining a adapter and tuner takes time and a hole lot of beans. and there is only a hand full of people that know how to make it work some are already past away . rip . so that being said . I'm hoping for late summer . their is new technology for fuel injection and electronics but there again . you better have a bank that likes you. be patient . I'm not build the fastest outboard on the lake. I am building a nostalgic lake boat . mr and mrs v8.

ps . don't forget I'm building 2 engines for one mid so I can run a v6 one weekend and a v8 the other weekend with the same v4 or v6 or v8 gear case. ;) this is the only way I can run different gear ratios like a merc. ok enough of my bullshit have a good weekend
