So here are the rules moving forward for FORMULA.

2016 FORMULA RULES

AGE REQUIREMENT: 16

HULLS:
Boat must be a typical standard boat, bass boat or any other non-competition built boat with complete interior installed.

MOTORS:
No nitrous
No internal engine modification what so ever allowed.
Factory rated 225 hp max.
NO FACTORY MADE HIGH PERFORMANCE BLOCKS / MOTORS ALLOWED
Rev limiters may be removed except Mercury 225 ProMax must retain factory rev. limiter
145psi cranking compression max.
Oil injection may be removed
Minimum 15” midsection
Gear case must be shiftable from drivers seat. Nose cones allowed
Pump gasoline only
NEW :
1- Greg Keeling's Allison XR2002 +150lbs ( this only applies if Greg is the one driving this boat !!) If another "Rookie" driver pilots this boat then #2 below will apply.
2- Anyone that wins 3 ( Three ) consecutive race days will be assessed a +50lb weight adder.

Class rules may change at any time to allow for equality and growth.

Now I also feel these two rules should be part of things moving forward.

-Manual trim switch only. No trim timers or trim limiters / auto trim what so ever
-12V trim only.

Let me know your thoughts. In keeping with an entry level theme I think these two rules should be a part of things and keep costs under control which keep competition a little more equal.

All looks good to me.
With regards to the 2 new proposed rules / ideas;
If the plan is to keep cost down I can understand the "no trim computer" idea (although i dont agree with it) however 24v trim can be put together for about $50 if you have a sled battery kicking around.

i already have a jetski battery/ tray and planned on 24v trim aswell. timers and stuff ill never get into but a big boat like mine needs some quick trim!!

rest seems fine to me. I just wanna be clear I AM running a high perf mota 2.4 Bridgeport. 240 hp. I could show up first race with low comp heads if anyone has an issue with that. fine either way by me but if I get smoked ill have the other set in the truck :)
