Jeff, from my position of watching(on the water) it was a lot closer than a lot of them wish to admit. It was a boat length or two at the finish, yes that is a lot to make up but they are starting to put pressure on Greg, same as your doing with your car, making the winner checking his mirror, they now have Greg looking over his shoulder!

As a formula racer, I do enjoy Greg being number 1. (For now) ;) Im bringing a Hydrostream Vector next year with a merc 200 so I feel like I can beat the class champ, if not at least be closer than a boat length or two.. the competition in formula is great and running against them is a BLAST! I cant wait until more people enter this class :D

Yes a test and tune day is a great idea, who's neighbors should we piss off first? What is your boat Wideopen? You figure your around 60mph at 800'?[/quote]

I raced last year my boats a 20' charger with a 200. And yes, right around 60 at the end last year for me anyways. Might have been quicker if I tried this year.

I just figured if some got together and practiced, it would be a lot easier to work on set-up and practice before hand. And if some of the experienced guys were there, maybe even help us slower guys ;) Just thinkin out loud here.

There's gonna be more then a few test sessions over the next few weeks!!
Most of my neighbours don't mind, a lot of em think it's pretty cool.
There's one that is not amused when I go out testing however she's come to realise that me testing for 20 or 30 minutes is less irritating then junior doin hot laps in the flee for 3 hours every night.
An old 7.5 OMC, turning 8000 rpm with the exhaust half outta the water tends to raise some eyebrows after a while!!
