Oh ok. Good. Although a third race site would be perfect. That would make 6 total days of drag racing.

For 2 Races a year Economical ?

I have a whole boat/motor/trailer that I race 1-2 times per year...there is NOTHING economical about any of this. Christ my SRV gets less than an hour use per summer....

I rarely agree with Jeff  but come on...if you wanna race and be competitive you gotta spend....

Sell your SRV  if you are not going to use her let someone else play with her...

Don't mind spending… Just would like to spend it in the right place… who are our choices Jeff ?

I know you don't mind spending (clearly)...I'm just ball bustin'

If someone wants to play with an SRV they can buy their own lol...mine is staying put. Until I can afford a 38 Top Gun anyway...

Choices for props you mean Ken ?

If I had a big block torque monster that won't rev like a 2.5 or similar. .
You need to take advantage of the power you have but most importantly AT THE RPM YOU HAVE THE POWER !!!!
I'd like to have some 15.5" x 24 , 25 & 26 semi-cleaver type props made. With the vast amounts of torque the big block motors make they can push more water due to the torque. That's diameter. . . and not always about pitch. You have the torque to push more water than a small high rev'ing small block type motor.

Drag racing is about who gets there first and NOT who gets there with the fastest speed. That means cutting a good start/light , acceleration and efficiency/quickness to plane and fly on the pad-packing air

Prop for a slight over run of RPM when you pass the '800 mark , get on plane as quick as possible. In saying that weight is not your friend ( and we have no weight limits either ) , compression is your friend , proper jetting / fuel map for short bursts and acceleration are night and day different then top end stuff , perfect handling as an ill handling boat scrubs speed and time

Lots to consider but remember that it should be fun and think of it as a challenge to get the best out of what you have. You'll be surprised how quick all boats can be if they're set up correctly for a drag race.

Jeff can you put together a short list for us, of prop builders you would use and where to get them worked.
