It's the blade flex as well as the blade profile that makes a true Yamaha Sport Cleaver perform the way they do. Most clones will not touch a true original worked Yamaha.

What RPM do you max out at and what gear ratio are you running.

well i have run it close to 7000 and wayne says it will go a little past but not much.... it has 1.75's in it now but i want to change them to 1.62's for better prop selection up top.

3.0L don't like to spin 7k...especially with your stock oiling system.

I'll let others comment on '800 speeds. . It's a drag race so speed isn't as important as how quick you get there.

24 will most likely be very short for you power but you'll need to test to know but I'm guessing that 7000 is very high for that motor ( if running injection ) I'd try a 26-28 Yamaha Drag

Don't waster you money on a Yamaha other than 26 & 28
ET I'd run 24 26 but try them first. A real ET cannot be compared to any other copy whether that's better or worse. If you find a prop you like from some one then see if you can send that prop to who ever will be making you a prop unless it's a true Merc prop or a True Yamaha

Also if you're going to be running tight heads you need to prop for them vs lake heads. Etc etc. .... etc

If you don't have a prop(s) how can you race ? It's a part of racing. There also isn't anything saying that you only have to race twice a year. There's plenty of races in North America. You either enjoy it or you don't. Technically there's 4 TORC Races at two race sites ( with always hope for more )
