what are the requirements for that class?.... ideally i don't want to put any extra seats in...

As the boat was designed for 4 seats that's all you'd need is the one seat. As long as it was designed for more then just one seat it will fall into every class.
As for the power -- what are the plans for the power ? If it's a stock-ish Yamaha you can run in the Bass & Ski type class TORC has and Lake Racer and compete against the typical 2.5 guys.

Dok would have to Chime in on his plans for the motor i would say it would be stock-ish .... at the end of the day if we can't figure out a 2.6 i'll just rig it for yamaha and bolt the 3.3L HPDI to it ... either way i hope to be racing.

We will have too wait and see if the excel winder is ready for gravenhurst..,,

Good question. If you have 200psi of cranking compression , a ProMax that's cut on the inside to look like a Drag killer.
Trust me that the goal is to make as much equality as possible. If you have a stock 200 Black Max let's say. . . You can do quite a bit. And let's say that power is on a four seat Charger. That's the Bass & Ski style boat that's perfect..... and there's a 100 in Ontario that could play there. !!! .
Now that would be a great show.

So in other words keep compression under 200 psi then and make sure the HP decal says 150?

You guys can add me into the game.

Running an STV Modvp with the drag top (coffin cowling), motor is a 260 with 20"mid. (looking at changing it back to a 15" mid.)

Motor has 2 sleeves & runs on avgas.
It has a little motor work done inside.

Question: which class would you guys put me in?
If I take off the back cowling & add a seat, would I run in the lake racer class?

Hope to see you guys next summer,
Jeff

PS: Where would I sign up & get the rules & race sites ?

Well you'd most likely be in the top class as it was designed as a single seat boat and not as a ModVP dual seat river style racer.
But until its there for the rules commity to see who knows.
Great that you're interested in joining up though. Thats great :)

I may be interested, albeit at a lesser level. I'd like to take advantage of a few test and tune sessions, without the competition. I'm still learning with my boat as well as working on setup. It would be cool to get out with a few guys who know more than I do who can help tweak my setup (and driving skills) to give me a goal in the end - go racing! Fair to assume my boat would be in a middle class? 16' Vision with a modded 200 EFI.

Depends in the mods actually.
Maybe be in the Bass & Ski 3rd level class. Sounds like a great package and for sure bring it out to a race and you can ask all the questions you have. Everyone is required to helpful hahah
