Hello. Looking for two 20" fiberglass bucket seat shells cheap. I know I can buy them new, just don't want to spend $125 ea. Looking for rear bench too if anyone can guide me in the right direction. Wanting them for my 17' J resto. I already talked to John and he has nothing used. Any help would be appreciated.

The problem is finding them used. When I do, they sell for around $100 for the pair, but I'm always to late.
I can get them new from John. That will be my last resort.
If you were to find a mold, what would you charge for a pair?

Now that's what I'm talking about. I like the second ones. Will have to cut them down 7" but I think those would be good shells with 3" foam and new upholstery don't you think?
I wonder how hard it will be to bolt on the marine swivel at the base of the seat to bolt to the floor of the boat. Wish they had pictures of the underside of seat.
Thanks.

RCI has a lower back version. Don't buy the others and cut them down!
I had one of these in blue in my old 10ft tunnel hull and it was perfect! Not sure on the weight, but has to be less than 9lbs.

As for the fasteners. The seat bottoms are molded with four threaded nuts in the base. Basicly it looks like a snowboard deck with the binding off. Bolting up a marine swivel or rails couldn't be easier. It appears to no longer be on the RCI website, but Performance Improvements, etc.. should still be able to track down a pair easily. They have colored slip on covers available too.

Thank you for the tip. That's what I'm going to do. I'm going to get them professionally re upholstered. I don't care about the weight. Not a race boat. You guys are the best.
