Ron Hill Signature 13x27 Hoss. New. Comes with a 13 spline solas removable hub kit and washers. Too much prop for my small gearcase. Could make a great V4 prop!
$325

Very nice, but probably too much for me.

Thanks for letting me try the prop. It is an excellent prop. It rolled onto a plane without revving to the moon and pushed my Baja/115 HO to around 61-62. It's a GPS speedo, but I can't see the tick marks in the 55+ range while driving, so no exact speed. I obtained a lock nut to mount it, which I will give to you when I return the prop. None of your or mine thrust washer/spacer combinations really worked.

Sorry but I won't buy it. It's no faster than my 26 small ear. Admittedly it planes better, but neither prop is going to win any drag races, assuming there was a V4 class.

No prob Dave. Thanks for giving me some test results though! This also may be a good prop to try on a V6 with a 15 spline hub?

I really think this is an excellent prop, and it should be easy to rehub for 15 spline. Or if someone was running a light boat with a V4. Like Ben who bought my 100, he should try this prop.

Thanks Dave. It uses a removable solas hub, so hubs can be changed back and forth.

Also, What rpms did you see compared to the 26 sm ear chopper?

Note: David was seeing similar top speed compared to a small ear chopper!!!!! ...and we all know those babies are known for speed!! :D

I don't think there is more mph for the dollar on my boats than with a small ear chopper, although my $200 29" SRX may prove me wrong.

5300 rpm with the Hoss copy, 5700 rpm with the small ear, same speed, much better planing with the Hoss copy.

I will be seeing "jake" probably this weekend ! I could take the prop with me if I'm able to get it from David's cottage and it's all cool with "Max" and I'd like to take it for a lap on the voodoo just for some "reference numbers" to see if it's any faster than the 25 cleaver I run!
