A friend was out in an STV over the weekend and wants to buy something fast on a budget. I showed him some thundercat videos and you'd think I showed him tits for the first time. He has a few tiller motors, 25-65 hp. looking for something small, like a t-boat or thundercat. Budget around $1000, maybe a little more but not much. I know it's a long shot, just thought I'd see what's collecting dust out there.

Not many "dusty" T Cats out there. Not that many to start with.
Your buddy may find one for around $1k but it'll need work. Not difficult but it's a bit of a learning curve.
$2k+ will get him a decent T Cat or anything else for that matter.

I know the budget will be a limiting factor, but he's got the bug and I'd like to try and find him something half decent. Have you seen a few at the $2k mark?

The do come up on occasion, mostly northern US location.
Andrew or sheuninick may know of something.
I'm sure they'll chime in if they know of something.

NB: Stay with known brands. Offshore stuff is dodgy at best.

Andrew just took a thundercat back to the US on the long weekend in May. I think it was in the price range you were looking for, too bad.
