Really miss my boat... Feels like I left my girlfriend at a party. ...Not a good analogy for a married guy  but you know what I mean :D

you had better come down here and help me put together my boat ! so you can stare at yours beside it.

Has anyone had replies from this fellow? I forwarded the link to a T guy and he got no reply. I e-mailed the fellow to ask if it was a 15R and about the condition of the transom. I never got a reply. I think it SOLD!

Believe me guys it was tough to watch that ad dissapear!

I had no problem with emails from the seller......The replies took anything from a couple of hours to minutes for him to reply, nice guy too.
I called him on Thursday last week and asked him some direct questions about the condition of the boat:
-Where is it now? Inside--Outside? (Outside-but it was wrapped untill he took pics, now exposed to the weather)
-Did he have the ownership? (No)
-Would he feel safe driving the boat now with the transom as it is? (No)
-Is it, or was it a core bottom? (Yes--Balsa removed and additional stringers installed)

He told me he had looked for it for three years, as it had once belonged to a friend of his who raced it in the past. It turns out, it used to belong to Jamie Auld from Brockville whom I also know........The seller said Jamie used to run a Merc tower of power on her which would have made it a FJ class. I was thinking probably an SJ cause it was only 14 feet.
The former owner (not Jamie) repaired, or had the transom repaired and didn't do a great job. The pics he sent me show that---It would have needed a complete new transom---Not a really big deal.

He did mention whoever did the work prior chopped up the rear "Wings" Allisons are famous for, and he really regretted it.

The original ad said he would seperate........I asked him how much for the boat alone, and was told I could have it for $500.00 but he really didn't have the time (moving out West) or the means to get the engine off.

I know I'll be kicking myself about this one for a long time, I should not have hesitated. Hope someone here or FBC show up with it.
