I wasn't driving that race. There was 3 features last weekend and double points. I drove the first feature for a 5th place finish and let my more experienced friend John, drive the second feature in hopes of some extra points. Unfortunately, he got a little too out of shape exiting corner 4 and climbed the wall putting it on its side right in front of the flag stand at the start finish line. It slid down the track like that all the way into the first corner. Driver was fine and luckily we put a containment seat in it 2 weeks earlier for extra safety. He was wearing his Hans device as well. Had to replace 2 spindles and a ball joint. Not too bad. Lots of body work to do yet. Might win wreck of the year award though. |
