CBFNC Site is still unchanged, were there changes to their Board made at the 2017 convention?

There were some changes made. They are having a Board meeting on Feb 4th.
I'm sure they will post the updates after that.

Thanks for the update Don.
Just curious......
I was at the CBF agm......
At the close of the agm Paul Reid was VP of racing.
When & how did that position fall into the hands of Andrew Fralick?
Let us all know if you have any insight into this as there’s been nothing from CBF regarding an opening on the executive or filling of an open position.

This is hearsay, I'm not sure what really happened, but my understanding is at the last regular Board meeting, there was a discussion of some sort between Paul and someone else on the board (I don't know who) about his status on the board, then it was looked into and for whatever reason he was not recognized. Paul resigned/quit/left later that day or the following day I believe. About 2 weeks ago Norm asked me if I would be interested in the position. I was not, but after a few of the board members worked me over, I agreed for the rest of this term. I didn't even know I was officially on the board until Don posted this yesterday and then I went to look at the CBF website this morning and saw my name there. I've not been in any meetings yet. I was on the board a few years back and I hope it's organization has improved.

Congrats Andrew. Good to see some long standing TORC members on the board. That's definitely a positive sign for all forms of outboard racing.

Not knocking your nomination Andrew, but isn't this a voted position by all CBF members?

Your response to this is about as evasive as it could possibly be.

Obviously folks interested in the inner workings of the CBF rules are lol well interested

Please enlighten us as to how this process is even possible???

You know the exact info I know. Ask Norm if you'd like to know more. I've not even been in a meeting yet. But I assume if someone leaves the board, the board has the power to replace them. I didn't ask the particulars of how it works. I was more concerned about whether I should take the spot or not.
