I have received some e-mails from people interested in T Class, UIM Classes and APBA OPC classes.
T Classes T750 and T850 are based on the UIM rules. Our T classes have different engine displacement and a special rule for T850 OMC 56 cubic inch bridge port motors.
In T750 some 2 cylinder 2 stroke models can exceed 45 cubic inch, a 4 stroke can be 60 cubic inch.
In T850 the maximum displacement for a 2 stroke motor is 60 cubic inch.
The rules were adjusted to take advantage of the variety of different motors available in our area.

APBA OPC Classes
BOTH UIM and APBA have similar rules for the OPC tunnel boat classes.
APBA has 2 classes similar to our T Class....VP75 and Formula V.

Rather that post the differences, here is the 2016 APBA rule book
http://www.apba.org/sites/all/files/doc ... 0Rules.pdf

There could be opportunities to include some of the APBA classes in future Ontario Events.

There may be opportunities to get put on the program at some of their races. Like Trenton Michigan, they have the OPC World Championships there every year. T Boats are not currently on the schedule. Perhaps maybe some other stock outboard races like GrassLake Michigan. Region 6 is very strong right now, good races with lots of participants. It's to bad we can't take it to another level. Stock outboard class and race restructuring is being kicked around but not enough serious people for it to move forward. I wouldn't exactly say APBA is done a good job with laying out their engine/class structure. Examples are everywhere, that's why some things are different here. I thought OPC just broke away from APBA not that long ago to do their own thing. Might want to look at that.
