Awe...somebody forgot to Shut the door and that Yamaha guy showed up and took first place on Saturday! Had his kid in diapers turning wrenches for him. I protested that he didn't have a wrist band but they wouldn't listen!

He kept catching his wristband on the carb linkage so I pulled it off and pinned it to his shirt lol. He kept muttering "lean is mean....brummmm a bum bum.."

Awesome weekend..

Having a Yamaha win a heat is good for the class. Looks like we had multiple heat winners.

I did speak to Eric about the race and Craig's concern that Eric cut him off in the turns. In T Class we are following stock outboard rules for the race. IF? we had been following OPC rules two situations would have been different.
[1] in the case of Eric's driving. He has to give one boat length space between his boat and Craig's boat into the turn, He did and that is 100% legal. Had we been under OPC rules. That rule is kockpit to kockpit. So Craig would have had to be right even with Erik. Much closer and way less space.

[2] at Gravenhurst Mike Hooper was not allowed to join the race after the start. Under the OPC rules he would have been allowed to join the race and follow the last place boat. Stock outboard is different. Remember the stock outboard boats only carry enough fuel for their heat. The starter always allows as much time as they can for racers with problems to get into the race. Once the time is used up the racer[s] cannot enter the race course.
