Most T Racers likely did not know there was a class similar to T750 in the 1980's in APBA.

The speed records for the class are very good. 51 mph average lap speed is very fast. The DP weight was much heavier than our 600 lb T750 weight . EP was 850 lbs, our T850 weight is 725 lbs. DP was likely 750 to 800 lbs and they used the same hulls as EP.

Don i too thought the 51 mph lap speed was fast, i did see the second record, straightaway speed 53.8? so the straightaway speed is slower

I am trying to locate an old 1980's APBA rule book. I know the weight for EP in APBA was 850 lbs. I believe the weight for DP was over 740 lbs. So 53.8 MPH is fast for that weight. I think we can get our T750 boats to run in the low 60's in a kilo run, mid 50's on the race course because of the difference in the weight..
