Combining T750(4) & TCat750(5) categories at Ghurst worked well, boats having similar speeds, provided added spectator excitement, challenge for drivers, and compressed the schedule for 2 categories in half, rather than having (4) 4 boat parade heats. We had no complaints/opposition from drivers, only comical comments from spectators(eg: why's that Checkmate family van out there?). Also, Tcats like it rough.
Depending on boat count(eg: T750(5), TCat750(4)), likely to be combined again, with possible infield turn buoy, right hand turn for all:)
Along same lines, combine T850/TCat850, similar speeds, lots of action and fun, but without right turn infield buoy at those speeds. Combined, may push boat count for eliminations(2), consolation(1), and Final(1) heats.
Steve H, we may seek spare prop to get your 2 boats out against each other,..and TCat deck monkey(Greg Snider).
Agree 100%, it was good in GH racing with the tcats. Lots of good racing and helps compress the schedule. I say one day oval and the other day put a right turn in the course. I mentioned it at GH and the tcats where good with it. We are getting to stage where at least 4 boats are min for class.
