Kevin's Rapid Craft weighed way more than expected 660 lb without him in it.
He broke the water tube at the T Party. Replaced the pistons and is back running. VERY WELL!!

Craig Fraser has two T850's now. A new Allision with SST 60 Gig power and an original Critchfield with Morley SST 60 power.

The 2 T750 Delta OMCs are both running as is Dave's Allison. The Oasis is close to being ready.

Erik has both the VooDoo and Critchfield T850 running. A trim button issue is the only problem.

Jake Elsey T850 is running perfect. Those 49's always do.

Dave Elsey joined the broken gear case group.

Gig is running Top Guns T850 at Waterford.

Randy W. has a new Allison for T850

The American boys are running. Not saying much.

Don has the MacDonald's VooDoo up on Kijji again. Maybe a new boat coming.

Top Gun is building or built lots of motors. Mostly SST 60.

Ryley found a complete Formula E motor.

DOC's been offering Yamaha parts to OMC guys with broken motors.

There were at least 4 OMC short shafts brought up from the US during the winter. There should be parts around.

Don't know if the TORC pres got running yet.

Doug is too busy with the new boat to focus on their Critchfield.

We are starting to see the affect of the 2013 rule changes in some of the testing.
We didn't think there would be any change with the top runners. They had good equipment and good set ups.
Plus they spend a lot of money doing the legal things the hard way. Example balancing. Before you had to match piston, rod and bearing weighs by measuring lots of different combinations. That took time, parts and money. Under the 2013 rules you can balance your assembly. We can assume the top runners had already done it to their motors in 2012. The testing so far with some of the other racers is showing a 1 to 2 mph increase change. So this will make the field closer and we will not see a 62 mph boat win. Most boats are in the 67 to 69 mph this year in T850 compared to 63 to 68 last year.

Just a word of caution for the new T850 racers that are new to circle racing. Remember these speeds are their race course speeds. That is the speed they reach in approximately 17 seconds. It is not their Lake run Kilo speed. These boats at 68 mph are really at their limit and if your pushing to get a corner entry speed of 70 mph.
your better know how to drive, because the boat will NOT always set for the turn. At the higher speeds the boat will not hook and save you. It will barrel roll. You must drive the boat in and thru the turn using the trim. If you have it trimmed out at 70 mph entering the turn and just back off the throttle chances are the boat will not set for the turn and it may blow over backwards.

No call out here. Just want to see you racing. GiG has a lot in the works and there are a few needing steering parts.

Speaking of call outs, does that mean we will see a T750 Whittington boat at Waterford? :)

Sure, bring to WF; you, Fraser & Gig can be in the kids' cardboard T skiff boat building area. Sunday we'll launch, see which floats the longest.....I'll call Crusty the Clown for bouncy tent, facepainting, jello eating contest, donkey rides; Gig gteed to puke jello in bouncy tent.
