Big thanks to MOTOboat(D Ray), jumped right in a month ago, made calls, got stuff done. Next: - ACBS sending everyone registration form to be completed/returned asap; no fee to show. - CBF Vintage sanction to be finalized - PS: join CBF for 2013. - Participant registration closed June 15, communication to go out for June 5-6 on site check-in and logistics. Cheers |

Shortly I will send out details for on site registration( July5&6), where to obtain tickets, loot bag, where to leave your boats if either in Static display or On water demo. Whether on water or static I strongly encourage all to drop off boats Friday and Register, get the lay of the land, know what you need to do early Saturday, be prepared early. Arrival Saturday: 7:00am Drivers meeting: 8am, Saturday July 6, at Grace & Speed museum ON WATER participants: T & Drag: park trailered boats (T & Drag) at dedicated fenced off area by Grace & Speed Museum. Security will patrol Friday night. Boats will be launched 9am Saturday morning after driver meeting(8am) by Kubota, to be driven to C dock, will remain there for the day until end of show, approx 6pm. Then back to ramp and out. Drag will be on display through the day, T's will launch from there for the 2 demo's. Hydro: to be rigged & carted to dedicated fenced off area by Segwun Steamship kiosk. The pits will be cold, until 45min prior to demo, at which time propping and fueling will be permitted prior to launch. There will be 2 flights, 11am, and 3:30pm. This area will have dedicated security Friday night and Saturday. We will require volunteers here 30minutes prior to demo's to assist with launching/roping. STATIC Participants: Location: Field of Dreams Park, South side of Hwy 69, across from restaurants. Bring your boats Friday drop , we have a pre-determined 'seating plan' where you will be located within the outboard exhibit. We will have larger trailered boats and carted smaller boats. This area will have security patrol Friday night. Parking: very limited, get there early Saturday, first come basis 600m away. More to follow. |

Rowboat wrote: Can't wait for this event!!! Rowboat and Mrs. Rowboat will be in one of the corners guys. Let 'er Rip!! You sure are and I thank you. I have arranged for 2 20' boats from sponsor Walker's Point Marine as corner boats for this event. Rowboat is an experienced IB operator, attended TORC GH race to understand the job and will be operating a corner boat with flagman. The boats will be anchored at each corner, flagmen to take direction from REF via radio. Rowboat has joined CBF as a 'Crew' to do this role. I have an operator for other corner boat and seeking other volunteer flagmen to do a 3hr shift, while the classic race boats go by. Joining CBF for $20 is a pre-requisite, to have CBF insurance coverage. Please let me know if interested. |
