Ummm...that was like a 3 story free fall....with the distinct possibility of it being VERY shallow on the backside. You know from your motocross days how hard it is on parts to case a jump or land from height on to flat ground...now imagine the weight of that boat with tripples and no forward momentum. Now imagine being the guy you see flying over the windscreen just as it dissappears behind the wave...ouch.

it had to have hit the ground... i dont buy the boat braking if it had enough water under it... it was only going slow it would have been completely fine if there was enough water.

I would think that if the boat hit the ground the drives would have been gone and he wouldn't have driven it back to shore. I can't imagine the forces at work landing from 40+ feet in a pleasure boat. Picture the free-fall...you would have lots of time to think about how bad the landing is going to be lol.

I would be astonished if any performance boat could take that. That would be earth shattering. There is NO forward momentum... Just a huge drop. Basically the earth no longer exists under the boat. I would think legs would be broken.
