Shivers...my Black Max remark wasn't actually directed at you...it was at Mr 80's lol. I'm not throwing stones.

That being said...the 'tini will be fine with the single 3L based on the performance of other similar hulls and how it ran with the car motor.

I would be confident in those old mercs pushing the challenger to 80mph... very confident. It's widely regarded that the boat DOES handle the rough better with two on the back. I would have put twin 200/225hpdi's on the back of that boat.. But the big XB should get that boat to 65mph... I don't think there will be much more in it... I like to mix practicality with style. That's why I would have went with economical(fuel wise), light twins... With very little set back. V8's would sink that thing...

Sometimes James... you come across as a dick.. As do I.

I love you all.

The single xb is still going to be heaps better on fuel (even with the premium requirement) than twin 200s.... And probably not run much faster .. So for the price of a second motor, a second prop , a second set of gauges, and a fuck load more oil im fine if it runs 65. Its more about size than speed atthis point. The money im saving could buy a 100mph piss cutter
