Dated pictures.....wonder if the molds are usable?
Always wondered how this hull would run as a tiller fishing boat.... open style no deck.
Maybe build it like a double hull Boston Whaler

I talked with Chris about these in the spring, he seemed to think they were in decent shape

Don. Great idea about the open concept.
My hull is very similar. The problem I have encountered running a tiller handle is having the balance so far aft and causing porpoising. I put trim tabs on which solved the problem but they do induce drag. I am currently moving the fuel tank and battery forward as well as adding lead. My boat weighs 135lbs.

Would also be nice to get the gt30 class going in Canada.

Yeah, was thinking the same when it comes to tiller steer. Can't see that being easy to drive.

I think we already have a very good boat to run in GT30. The latest model of the Top Gun Marine Critchfield would work very well as a GT30. The GT30 class has young drivers and they weigh in the 100 to 130 lb range. The only change we would need on the Critchfield set up is to move the seat position 12 inches further back. It would be a 50 mph boat.
The added advantage to the Critchfield is the GT30 driver can move to T750 then T850 with the same boat.
