Sooo, I thought I'd post a picture of what I picked up yesterday. Maybe if I'm lucky, the core will be ok but I bought this thinking of it as a total project. I'm going to need help for sure with materials and how to do everything. I have a Delta project in the shop that is completely gutted now and ready for new wood and glass so we will get on to this project going once the Delta is finished. Hopefully another 2 - 3 weeks. Dok, I understand you have done cores before so if I need it, hopefully you can let me know what I need to do there.

What it will need:
Transom
Floor
Stringers
Glass work to fill in holes in deck
Paint
Seats (two bucket seats inline center steer is the plan)
Maybe core - (won't know till I carve into it)

To be different and cheap, I'd like to power it with an old OMC V6 looper. If anyone has a line on a 15" mid for one of these, please let me know.

I love that boat!!! I tried to buy it years ago and they wouldn't sell it..i think it was John Tiger's boat or it was going to be a project for him. I'm sure you already know how great the 380ray is but I will tell you...do the build right because you're going to keep the boat.

Looks good Kev. I agree with Rick. Take your time as that boat very well could be something you hang on to.
Can the Gel be saved?

It needs a motor like mine or James'....the motors are cheap and reliable and you can make all the performance parts you need in your basement.

Or go OMC...whichever...yeah coils and power packs... :)
