Are you trying to justify buying an Opti powered V-king?? I'm sure it'll be good on fuel and powerheads...lowers...maybe not :)

Right...so wouldn't you want a 260 on it??? or a hot 2.6l yamaha? I always thought your vector worked pretty well...

Remember one of us had a big block on an 18' boat...it wasn't all that much fun...

I'm always impressed with guys like Ken that stick a big 20" motor on a v-bottom and run 100 plus. I'd be nervous having a top heavy motor all jacked up and running that fast, to me with that center of gravity things have to be tougher to control if things go squirelly. I'd have to have at least a 15" motor.

92...

100+ is expensive. I don't think there is a single boat on this site that does 100+ without some serious power...which isn't cheap (as you know). If you want to beat P@ in a Vking you best get to practicing...

If you're hell bent on going big block AND trying to run 100+ it'll need to be a 15" just to get that big powerhead out of the wind and not turn the boat into a kayak. I just don't know why you wouldn't choose the cheaper/lighter route when that option is open to you...
