Geigitron instigated this build and we accepted. So we are going to see if we can make the best race boat ever. We have the TOP GUN molds in the shop and have cleaned them up. The molds are not perfect, the deck mold will not allow an infusion without a flange so we will have to build carefully with that piece. The hull is not ideal either but it is essential that it be infused so we will have to do some creative set-up.
Here are the molds ready to go, we will be preparing for a few days and then we will go from a bunch of parts and materials to a mostly complete hull in an hour.
I will try to show the progress on the way.

I thought we were going to try and build an aluminium one as well. We need to find a T guy with that skill set. The Tuff-critch will be a winner for sure. Thanks Mark for doing it.

Yeah this is sweet... these kind of ground breaking threads really make us learn so much. Thanks for sharing !! Any projected weight of the new hull?

If you really want to do aluminium talk to Mark Nye (the jet boat builder)

Now im guessing, but with the steel core and rhino board transom, we should be real strong and about the same as Scorpion 21.

This is a cool project. I would love to see how the process unfolds.
You should talk Gig into a new low profile coffin hatch. If he had something he actually used perhaps fellow racers and fans alike would stop throwing their empties into the back of his boat.
