There’s a few people here in Ontario working on 90 hp Yamaha T Boats. Some have stock powerheads, some are mod powerheads that can produce 110 to 130 hp at the crank. The midsection can be a stock long shaft cut and welded shorter or the midsection can be a short shaft off a two cylinder 48, 55, 60 model Yamaha or mariner/Yamaha. Some use the same gearcase of these two cylinder models while others run the larger stock gearcase with a nose cone and low water pickups.
This boat was out of the original Danny Critchfield mold.

Mod 90, 132 hp at the crank, two cylinder short shaft midsection and gearcase....80 to 85 mph

That looks like a fun ride! Very interested in seeing more mod 90’s up here in Canada with the plan to use these motors on T-Boats. They get the same kind of mods as the 56ci OMC blocks we just need to play with these blocks to make some fun reliable motors!!
