Due to the wooden boat legacy I follow Chris Craft. Winnebago bought them this week. I hope it goes well

Interesting. Strange bedfellows when you think of the low production numbers and high end niche that Chris Craft represents.

Polaris bought Bennington pontoons last week so nothing makes sense in these acquisitions sometimes lol.

I'm sure Polaris needs a profitable division, their sled division is not so hot and the side x side market is getting competitive now. Hopefully they keep their mitts off the toons.

Oh come on!!!! Victory Motorcycles have the competition on the brink! lol

Atleast a few of the old American Marques are sticking around.

I have not been following much of it.... But It will be hard for anybody to compete with Harley and Harley's game. Its been proven over and over and over and over again. Its the bar and shield man.... Dudes want the "Life style" crap and the only one that gives it to them is Harley.
If you want a Harley.... You have to have a Harley. It's not for me, but what do I know...?

Exactly. Some guys are legit..... Wide berth dudes (Respect to those guys... Love em' or hate em'). But ya... You get a lot of weekend warriors who grew a goatee and won't wave at me on my old Honda.... I giggle to myself because these dudes think they are Peter F*cking Fonda. But they have to pay the dealer for an oil change.
Meanwhile they won't wave at dudes who have built numerous bikes, have actually defended themselves physically at a point in their lives. And can fiercly out ride them.

They prove that you absolutely, positively can't buy only two things..... "Youth" and "Cool".

(And I even like the bikes.... Our family had a 1942 WLC flathead until recently)

I know a few pretty rough accountants and doctors with nice Hogs. I actually like them, but I like looking at them more than the thought of owning one. Who has time to clean and polish and then having to go out and buy a Pirate costume, and pretend to hate old women and small animals....not me. Then there's the cost of admission, too rich for my blood. Gotta hand it to H.D. though, who else can put A.B.S. and E.F.I. on a 100+ year old design and sell 1000's of them every year?
