It is with a heavy heart that I am to inform all of you of the passing of Ronny "Hurricane" Haylock. You all knew Ronny from Ronny's Marine. The place to go to have your boat transformed by a true Master of the trade. Ronny could lay the metal flake down like no other I have seen. A genuine man who truly loved our sport. Ronny helped us, with his experience in boating events, to bring OPBRA to where we are today. Ronny was also one of our first sponsors.

What some of you may not know of Ronny were his other true passions. Ronny loved his grandkids! Alexander, Michael and Joseph were his pride and joy. Ronny talked about these guys all the time with love and adoration. He absolutely loved spending time with them.

Another one of Ronny's passions was his flowers. His place is overflowing with beautiful gardens and landscape that was the envy of many.

Ronny approached me last year and informed me that he is building a safety boat for OPBRA. He had all the plans laid out for set up and appearance. We were just talking on Sunday about the graphics he wanted along the sides of "RESCUE 1". Ronny insisted that this boat is to be built and used at all of our events to ensure the safety and quick recovery in case any of our racers needed it. He supplied the boat and was doing all the work to put this together for us. This just shows the true love he had for our sport and our group. Ronny always spoke highly of the gang in OPBRA.

A celebration of Life will be held for Ronny at a later date.

You will truly be missed Ronny. Race In Peace, my friend.
