The method I use is to leave the boat on the trailer and in covered storage...use it maybe once a year...stays clean like new lol.

At the marina we use a product called captain fab in a garden sprayer...cleans the green shit off in no time. We use spray9 and hull cleaner in a bucket to scrub the oil ring off. The boats that are waxed are much easier to clean.

Craig,
You saw my newphie boat when it came out of the water.....
I leave it unwashed until spring then hit it with Captain Fab.
Spray on......
Quick hit with a brush and it's done......takes any rust off of untainted metal as well.
Where a respirator!

Hot Tub cartridge cleaner. Get it at any pool/ hot tub store. Works awesome. We put in in a spray bottle and just spray it on (dry hull) and use a damp wash mitt like you were washing your car. If you wet the hull it dilutes it and then requires more product. Don't let it dry on though or you will have to wash it again. Then just use some soapy water and hose to wash it off. We usually do one side then wash it off and then do the other side. It doesn't burn your eyes and skin like the typical acid hull wash products.

Make sure it is hot tub "cartridge cleaner" not just hot tub cleaner. The cartridge cleaner is stronger.

Thanks everybody! We've been using captain fab with a splash of toilet bowl cleaner on the bad boats. Will get Trish to try the spa cartridge cleaner.....she's not complaining but has a bad shoulder so was just seeing if there was something REALLY easy. I appreciate the info!
