First off let me say that this came right from Greg.
He is okay and at home. I just got off the phone with him.
The family is good as well. Upset and still a little worried about the accident, but good. Jackie and Jacob, if you haven't met them, are amazing people. They are a very loving family and care deeply about each other. Hats off to all of you for handling this in the way you have.

To Jackie, I see a very deep wine glass in our future sitting on your beach!!

Greg described to me what happened in the heat. It was not mechanical issues or driver error. Track conditions led to a circumstance that, at the speed he was travelling, could not be controlled. Wind conditions, track layout and wakes all paid an integral part.
The boat was working VERY well and coming on like a freight train.
Sixty foot times were unreal and the acceleration was not letting up.
Close to the end, conditions put the front of the boat up and caught the wind.
He crossed the finish line upside down and backwards (for the win!, sort of)
The boat is repairable.
Greg had all good things to say about all the assistance received and he was treated great at the local hospital.

It was great to talk to him and hear it from him.

Speedy healing bud and we'll talk soon!!

I saw the video before I knew who it was and thought someone must have been seriously hurt. I'm glad it wasn't any worse than it was. That looked scary. Good to hear the boat can be saved and you now have one awesome picture to hang in the shop!

We are all glad Greg is doing well. The boat is repairable. Thank God Greg is, as well. However, I can think of better ways to cross the finish line. Greg did a great job flying inverted. Lol

Thanks for all the kind words and good wishes.
Much appreciated.
After in depth photo and AIM data analysis it appears there was a failure of my trim solenoid and although I had shortened the stroke on the trim ram the increased trim angle combined with the on track rollers I ended up crossing the finish line upside down and backwards.
I don't recommend this....for obvious reasons!
Big thanks to RBT, Eric Kiser, Pete Elliot, Brian Gieger, Nick Giradeli (ODBA) and Cody Tarver for getting my motor torn down and pickled.
Boat is totally repairable and will be back on the water next spring.
More details to follow.
Stay tuned for pics & video.
Cheers
