Here is a pic of my 1981 Charger 18 DL and a friends 1985 18DL.
Both have the notched transom.
You can see on the 85 that Charger must of decided to experiment with removing the last 6" of the middle strake.
Has anyone seen this before? Was wondering if maybe it was just a one off.
Will be trying it out sometime in the future to compare to mine.
My friends 18 just happen to need a windshield too, first one out of the molds.

Interesting. Mine is like yours Murph with the strake going all the way back to the transom. I have not seen one with the strake cut short like that.

me neither, maybe they just stuck a plug in for a one off experiment??? would be interesting to compare performance the two.

When you look at it you can see they just stuck a plug in for a one off.
By 85 they had also lowered the transom by an 1.5" and finished off the Deck join.
