Post subject:  FLAT BOTTOM SKI BOAT CIRCLE AND DRAG RACING

Several people in the states have tried to bring back the old Mod VP class and start a new class racing performance built V bottom fishing hulls. They both failed because they were too fast and they required safety cells.
I was speaking with some old Wildcat racers and they had a suggestion. Prior to the V hulls, the local racers ran flat bottom ski boats..Jay Crafts, Eliminators etc. 16 to 18 feet long. The largest motor back then was under 100 hp. The boats were dogs, but there were lots of them. Later ski models ran V6 motors. They never raced them because the V hulls took over.
With V6 power, a turn fin and these would be fun to watch on a race course. You could have them in Drag.
Cheap to build, fun to drive and slow enough to run cell free.
