Hey guys!
I'm seriously thinking of having a Charger 19' STV pickle fork built for me by the guy that currently has the molds. The idea of having a brand new boat over something used sounds appealing. Looks like from what I have been reading is to stay away from them? I met the guy who builds them and said I can have any extra measure I wanted put into it i.e beefed up transom, more rigid, weight etc. Fully rigged, all gauges, interior and colour i want for 10k. I just need some more insight on the overall performance, quality and how the cockpit compares to an STV RR (4 seater) or even a Euro. I plan on running it with a promax 225x or 2.5 260 etc. I'm just looking for some solid input. Because to me - seems like it could be a sweet rig all dialled in. It would have the original summerford tunnel v hull... Not the current improved design.

Appreciate all the help!
James

What bottom is going on it... the sprint bottom..... Drag bottom....or Ski bottom? The pro comp deck is a bit wider in the front then an RR but I don't believe the back seat is as wide as my RR. You can't beat a Euro for interior space.

I am not sure what you are on about with regard the the oringinal summerford design.... I believe that Rorke made all the changes before he sold any molds So My 2011 RR is an original Rorke design

It is a simple process, call jack at full throttle and order a new Stv from him.

I would hope not...

I'd be looking at used Euro's or Rocket's.

Why do you have to go making good sense again.?

Used Triad > Any new S.T.V. coming out of Canada. Period.

Full throttle prices are not a lot more than is being quoted here. You will get a better boat that has a resale value. Or like suggested, a used boat. The sprint bottom isn't ideal, they are ok but power for power there will be a significant speed difference. Add that the cdn built boat will be a lot heavier than the brand name stuff.

Now James, this "washed up pit boss" never plays with others money, and I fail to see how suggesting to someone to spend good money on a quality product with long term value over and item that doesn't have a stellar reputation is a bad idea.
Of course, I am sure somehow in your eyes this is beneficial to me.
