Sometimes a change in boat can make a big change in performance.
Latest Six Mile combo has Rusty's Mercury off the yellow Critchfield running on a new open style Allison using a borrowed prop from Dave Elsey runnig 66 mph. Top Gun must have found extra performance when he replaced that broken prop shaft. I remember working with Brian Sherriff's Critchfield 59'r Mercury and after lots of time and money on props and FINALLY saw 65 mph.
