Thanks to dubber on S&F for IDing my new boat. I have picked up a burgundy charger dl with a 150XR2.

The boat is looking rough at the moment, but the Gel is in great shape. It's in dire need of a good wax and buff.

I'm going to track the progress so I figured this is a good place to do it.

The boat is in for a mechanical, trim work and engine work.

The motor isn't running properly, it gets up an plane and then dies down to idle then back on plane again...the fuel line isn't retaining pressure.

Anyway, hopefully the guys down in the shop can get it sorted out and I can get this boat on the water!

Welcome aboard! I'm sure this boat was a customer of mine (at the same time I had mine) and he kept it covered and on a lift. He only ran the boat a few times per year. I could be wrong as I'm sure there are many dark red DL's with XR2's but it really looks familiar.

That should be a full balsa boat and very well put together.

Just south of Parry Sound. I'm on Crane Lk, but I work at The Cove just south of Lk Joe.

This boat came from Acton Island on Muskoka.

Probably a different boat..we're on Georgian Bay...it was sold probably 10 years ago but those Muskoka boats tend to be original owner stuff. Keep us posted on your progress.

There's a bunch of us running around the south channel out of Parry Sound if you're out this way.

The timing is close, he said he bought it in 98. I picked it up for $500, I think I did alright but we'll see what the motor needs.

I've already got my eye on this hull: http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicle ... Z497732105

Always liked the Hydrostreams and a boat is next on the toy list.

You found us! ;)

Crane Lake is a very Pretty Lake. My wife and I were very close to buying a piece of property there once about 10 years ago (yet again another reminder as to how old I really am getting :P). It just wasn't meant to be. I envy you already!

About your fuel system - does your fuel bulb stay hard? After that if your fuel filter is clean I am fresh outta ideas :)

Welcome aboard! S&F is a very good site but this has lots of Canadian content and a launching point for local get togethers. Always room for another DL.
