Honestly.. For Top end.. I think the Promax is better.. Just my 2 cents.. I pretty well figure Mike has that proven.

Ya except the "225"x goes 86 on a Panther...so it's probably a 280 under that cowl  .

Im going by proven numbers on Triad's... I actually think I had the best numbers with a promax on my hull.. Nobody with and x motor was even close that I knew of...

But don't worry... There were lots of Grandsports going 4mph faster with 28 pitch props.... Ruh ROH!!!!

Ya I'm agreeing with Mitchie on this one, and a lot of other people have told me the same...I think my promax is probably faster.

And the other thing too - From everybody I've talked too, and other people who have run Talon's themselves, they are supposed to go 90, im going 99...it would be nice to hit 100 but I think I'm more than pushing the barrier's with this hull and I don't want to end up ass over tea kettle in the water down 5 gallon. There was a thread on Scream and fly started by some other guy to find out who had the fastest 18 Talon because he called me out and said my speeds were bull, and the fastest he had ever gone in his was 92. From what it sounded (and this is just me reading between the lines here) was that the fastest 18 did 101 (and that was just 1 time), and who knows what that guy had under the hood.

So, right now I'll play it cool, if I hit the 100 with what I've got then awesome, if not then I have a true 99mph Talon which is something everybody knows and can believe...I may send my box out and get the limiter bumped at some point, but I just don't want to push my luck. If it ain't broke then don't fix it, and it seems to be working pretty damn well with how it is now. I mean I've picked up 8mph in the boat just between changing gearcases and props without touching anything else, I'm sure theres unfound mph somewhere haha

Listen... Like I said before.. If I were build like a supermodel I would be running 110.

You are running promax numbers that do push the limits of what is considered bullshit. Put an xr6 on and you will crush 100. If not then just take a trip to florida.. :)
