I had never seen a skater cut a wave in half. And I thought the waves were large on the way out. Once we got back to the park steve and I decided that they were 10 footers. And every third one curled like surf.

The challengers wide beam saved our lives. We were cutting some of the waves in half with a wall of water 6" deep hitting us in the face off the deck. The bildge was on the whole time and we still had 8" of water in the boat at all times. In those conditions my 22" of set back helped by letting me wheelie into the backs of these swells otherwise the challenger would have been sitting on the bottom of Lake Ontario.

Leaving town through the canal the waves were curling right at the opening so we got on plane 200 feet before the opening and launched off the surf like waves entering the biggest waves I have ever seen in real life. And I have been some places.

Would I ever do it again... No. But if someone were to question the challengers off shore ability I would knee them in the testicals.

Are you being serious? 10 footers?

I never questioned the Challenger's rough water capabilities. Linder built them for the Ocean.

For Realsies. everyone launched in west lake except Steve (24 skater), Rob (24 skater) and me.. we launched at Steves park on take ontario. then went around the point and in to west lake. it takes about 10-15 mins when its calm but more like 30 when its not.

It is true, I saw more of the bottom of the Challenger than I did of the deck.

I saw the look on JC's face when he got back.

It's real

You could hear the surf from The Riots house. Like it was 100 feet away. It's a half a mile.

That's why I didn't choose that launch. Had a feeling it would blow up in the afternoon.

Been out in Lake Ontario a few time in 6-8 foot swells. It's definitely an experience.

Just hope to hell you don't stall!!!!

Glad you made it James. I was worried the whole time - until you got back.

Perhaps JC had "JC" on his side? LOL
