Pat.... I would hope to god a voodoo with a mod 260 would break triples.... Now the big boys are talking.. lol.

What really gets me is that when I "read" the allison owners stuff... You got a huge cross section of ss2000 top speeds with different motors... basically. You got a bunch of guys with 260's running 105 and then a couple that say 120 plus. and the same goes throughout the motors posted... 106 - 107 ... then a couple with 120 plus... Aaaand Yammer is the fastest!
What is the gaping difference Jeff?

Let me clarify this Jeff... What makes you, tiger and a few others SOOO much faster than others.?

I only know what I've seen and or driven. So who knows man. I know my motor wasn't stock by any means. Also a ton of planning and advice went into how I had my 200 case coned ( shape , angle and water inlets ). Then just set up set up set up and testing testing testing. I like to test and set up and re test ( almost obsessed actually ) eg: when I redid my V-King I set the steering and two front "Allison" bucket seats ( hahaha ) where I wanted them. Put my equil of weight in the drivers seat and with the motor bolted up and rigging all done ( minus gear case ) I set the boat on a 2 x 4 x 10 on its edge on the pad. Then played with rigging placement. After that was set I then did my best to balance the boat bow to stern based on a 60/40 split towards the stern.

But that's how sick in the head I am. But it works. Experience good or bad is the most valuable thing you can have.

there was that one with the 200 that went 122 down south, there was about zillion posts and people and video of that one.. so that seems legit..

Started life as a 200 2.5 maybe. .

I haven't heard of that at all. What forum is that on Lee ?

If set as a DSRA V6 Pro / Pro Stock the rules allow any internal porting and mods. So in actual fact I can see it happening. You can made one serious beast out of a steel sleeve Laser injected motor.
In Jasper this year those classes both in Pro and Outlaw had some nasty fast shit. It's basically an unlimited steel sleeve motor with Laser injection so you can make what you can keep together.

I guess a 200 like that one would be around the 245hp mark?? give or take. so xr's can run fast with alot of testing and not a whole lot of power. I think a ss is a much slower hull, Ive had 2. there pretty fun awsome to look at, but alot of ally guys say they are the most ill handling allisons made. but i have a brand new stv now so i dont care. lol

It was written as 2 x 4 x 10. . . . this time you didn't "read your info" correctly. Haha

And if you haven't been to an ODBA or DSRA race then you shouldn't comment because you'd be amazed at what is put together. There is real life outside of your computer screen.

Hahaha Lee you can port a 2.5 steel motor like a drag block minus the chest. So 245 is easy for a behind the liner massively port block
