Its funny because even on that thread they have one or two questioning the "old technology" ..... the boat is mind blowingly impressive. Who is Skater anyway? Lol

Anyone have a cummins diesel lying around? I wouldn't mind test fitting it in my DL before I custom build my own. Totally crazy and cool build. You will be able to follow him around the world with the live camera feeds. While the boat is a monster it really isn't huge in the grand scheme of the ocean. Awesome.

Does anyone happen to know what te world record is for well going around the world?

The DL is an excellent candidate for circumnavigation. At only 18' it should slip between most ocean swells rather than bridging them (like to Edmond Fitzgerald). Most importantly the low freeboard will allow water to run out of the hull more easily.

Agreed. I am struggling to find a reason to not attempt circumnavigation in said vessel. I will take a queue from the trailer park boys and pack some piss jugs as I don't want to pollute the sea.

Just wild. Still pecking through the thread. I am enjoying how he takes the time to answer questions and has great explanations for each detail on the boat to make it safe and fast. Very cool.

Composite's don't rot or break.
Just gets wet, deteriorates, which leads to breakage and stinks worse then a septic.

when someone says they have an all composite boat, what exactly is the composite ?
is this composite 100% the same material all through the boat ?
can they tell you the exact material used in this "composite " structure

will they give you a piece of this composite to have a look at and examine before you buy one of their boats ?

composite in boats normally means SHIT.
