I don't wanna sound like a buzz kill but....
The only safety gear I saw was a teather cord on the guy workin the sticks.
That's fuckin goofy!!

In all fairness, look at those 32'+ boats...a lot of them are running in the 200hp club or close to it. So 142 is semi safe..like us running 60-65. But the second reason there is no point having safery gear...you may live blowing over at 80-90mph...but not a chance blowing over at 140 your only hope is having a quick release automatic parachute strapped to your ass.lol even then you are still probably dead

While I agree that crashing at 140mph is not going to end well for anyone on board...the chances of surviving are WAY higher if you have a lifeline and a helmet on. There aren't more than a handful of boats that run 200 but that doesn't make 140mph in a 32' boat a walk in the park if something goes a muck. Those two guys have a lot of experience in race boats (one of whom went swimming earlier this year :D ) and should know better....at least it saves having to hire divers...

Despite how fast your J-craft goes, 142 is still 142.
The onlything dumber then not wearing your gear is trying to justify it :roll:
