They run different ecm's too....and the dude in the vid has NO CLUE how the efi system works. It does NOT learn and it has no idea that you've increased the airflow. It probably does make a difference but it may also need a reflash lol.

The 200 through 300 sho/4-strokes are all the same with the exception of the ecm...a quick reflash and you can add 100hp.

It was a teenager that sent me the link to the video. I told him I would post it and see what happens. That restriction plate has to be there to reduce the horsepower. That power head is capable of more hp. But, it would require other changes including a reflash of the ecm. This is what the new racers would like to do. Buy a small 4 stroke and play with it using their computer, same as they do with their small Honda's.

PERFECT QUOTE!!! There were many times THAT is exactly what happened to the SST60 motors once they started getting over 100 hp, turning them over 8000 RPM and running the motor so high on the 35 second courses that the motor only got a good drink of water in the turns. Just as the quote says....for those last few minutes you that the BEST running 10 out of 10 motor you ever had and then BANG!!. I bet the Drag Guys have similar stories.

That's what I've always said about sleds, they run the best just seconds before they blow up.

Funny, the last Apex I had ran it’s best for all of the 30 000+ km I put on it before it went on down the road. :D

Mines only got 18,000kms on it...excellent sled...but you still have to add fuel if you want to add power..

You still on your ‘06 GT Dok? That thing is just nicely broken in at 18k. We’ve chatted a couple of times over the years on TY. Agreed in terms of more fuel needed with more air. I’m stuck in the past out on the water, still running 2 strokes....

Yes sir! I've been looking at upgrading the 06 to an 11+ to get the EPS but things keep coming up and eating up my sled fund. I find I ride my ET250 more often now that my son is riding his snoscoot.

I'm also stuck in the past with my outboards...mostly due to cost and I really like a 15" mid on my boat. I love the idea of the SHO but I can't justify the cost.
